About Me

Thanks for stopping by Roots and Reflections!

I like to ponder things. I like to reflect. I like to try to make sense and connections of the world around me.

As the mother of two young girls I find my time for pondering, reflecting, and connecting is in short supply. This is the place I gather snatches of these thoughts as well as a collection of tidbits about my journey toward a healthier self.

I am the wife of a United Methodist pastor and the mother of two engaging daughters. I am a former educator who has had the privilege to work with pre-k through doctoral level students. I love to travel and have adventures even if  at this point in my life they are mainly within my neighborhood. I love to read and I am learning to love running.  I am trying to find a way to live out my faith and raise healthy, passionate children while serving in the local church.  I am trying to figure how to balance the blessings and challenges that come with being a ministry family.

I prefer my husband’s company to anyone else’s and I am amazed by my kids. I am an inherent rebel and currently drink too much coffee

I am looking  forward to the road ahead.
